Cranbrook, located in the Great Southern region of Western Australia, is a small town with a big heart. Despite its size, there is always something fun and exciting happening in and around the region. Whether you're a local or visiting from out of town, there are plenty of events to keep you entertained throughout the year.

Autumn Events

As the weather begins to cool down, Cranbrook and its surrounding areas light up with Autumn events. The Cranbrook International Motocross event, held in late March, is an adrenaline-filled weekend of racing and stunts. If you prefer something more relaxed, you can check out the annual Grapest 5K Run, where you can run or walk through the vineyards while enjoying some of the region's finest wines. For families, the Manjimup Cherry Harmony Festival, held in early April, offers carnival rides, live music, and of course, plenty of fresh cherries.

Winter Events

While the weather may be chilly, the events in and around Cranbrook are heating up during the winter months. In June, the Albany Classic Motor Event brings together classic cars and motorcycles for a weekend of racing and displays. If you're in the mood for something more artistic, the Denmark Arts Markets held in July, showcases the region's talented local artists and musicians. For those looking for a unique experience, the illuminated Nocturnal Winter Tours at the Valley of the Giants Tree Top Walk offers a memorable night-time adventure.

Spring Events

Spring brings a burst of colour and energy to the region, and there are no shortage of events to enjoy. The Gondwana Garden Festival, held in September, is a celebration of the region's unique flora and fauna. The festival features self-guided tours of private and public gardens, as well as workshops and talks by horticultural experts. In October, the Kimberley Moon Experience in Kununurra, a two-hour drive from Cranbrook, offers a night of music, dancing, and fireworks under the stars.

Summer Events

Summer is the perfect time to head to the beach, and there are plenty of seaside events to enjoy in and around Cranbrook. Emu Point Beach, located in nearby Albany, hosts the Emu Point Beach Festival in January, with live music, food vendors, and a carnival. If you're looking for something a little more low-key, you can take a drive to the Porongurup Wine Festival in December, where you can sample some of the region's finest wines and enjoy live music and food stalls.
